Midfielder agrees deal with Coventry

Michael Doyle has agreed a deal to sign for Coventry.

The 35-year-old midfielder will return to the Sky Blues when his Pompey contract expires at the end of June.

He previously played almost 300 times for Coventry – who were relegated from League One at the end of last season – between 2003 and 2011.

Doyle has been Pompey skipper since joining the club from Sheffield United in the summer of 2015.

He scored three goals in 96 appearances during his time at Fratton Park, with his superb strike at Accrington shortlisted for Goal of the Year at last month’s EFL Awards.

Portsmouth Football Club would like to thank Michael for his excellent service to the club and wish him well for the future.
