Nelson's Family Zone

The perfect place for families to watch the match

Pompey have a designated Family Section at Fratton Park, located in the Lower West Section of the South Stand.

This area of the ground is accessed via the main entrance at the bottom Frogmore Road and fans can enter through Turnstiles 35 and 36.

Gates open 90 minutes before kick-off and ‘Nelson’ – our family friendly mascot – will never be far away to meet and greet supporters.

To sit in Nelson’s Family Zone, adults must be accompanied by a junior (17 or under). Senior supporters (65+) are also welcome to sit in this area of the ground. Juniors under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

Tickets are priced £25 for adults, £19 for seniors and £10 for juniors who are accompanied by an adult or senior. Please note that adult and senior tickets increase by £2 if bought on the day of the game.

Seats in Nelson’s Family Zone can be bought by calling 0345 646 1898 or in person from the ticket office, which is located in Anson Road.

If you are not a season ticket holder, please make sure you bring some form of ID with you if you are attempting to buy junior/senior tickets in the Family Zone.

*Top tip – When buying your ticket, ask to see if there are any free towards the back of the stand. This should help to keep you dry on a wet day!

Parking is available in the official club car park behind the North Stand, which is accessible via Anson Road – entry is based on a first come, first served basis and costs £10.

Alternatively, free street parking is available within a 10-15 minute walk of the ground, but please be aware of any matchday parking restrictions.

Coming by car? Put PO4 8RA into your Sat Nav to get to the main entrance in Frogmore Road or PO4 8SX to find our car park in Rodney Road.

*Top tip – Get to the car park as early as possible as spaces are limited. It is also worth noting that for safety reasons, the car park gate may remain closed for up to 10 minutes after the final whistle.

Every matchday sees a range of activities for our younger fans to participate in – generally overseen by Nelson, our Family Zone mascot, and members of our Community team.

These can include face painting, magic shows and matchday giveaways.

TVs showing matchday information are also available in the concourse areas within the Family Zone.

We also encourage players to interact with fans where possible – so bring your autograph book! Players not involved in the matchday squad will be around the Nelson's Family Zone between 2pm and 2.30pm and where possible will also pop along to see our junior supporters in the wheelchair zone just before.

Clean, modern toilets (including baby change facilities) are available within the Family Zone.

If you need to use the baby changing facilities they may be locked with a RADAR key as they also house an accessible toilet. If they are, please ask your nearest steward for a key.

*Top tip – the toilets can get busy at half-time, so if you need to go, it might be advisable to do so just before the referee blows his whistle.

Our Family Zone has a designated refreshments kiosk, which is situated at the back of the stand. This sells a range of hot and cold food, snacks, sweets and drinks – including healthy options.

There are fast food restaurants close to the ground, but we would encourage fans to support the club by purchasing their refreshments inside the stadium.

You are, of course, welcome to bring your own cold food and drinks if you wish, but please remember that fast food, cans and glass bottles are not permitted in the stadium.

*Top tip – ‘Kids Meal deals’ for kids are available for £6. It might be worth buying one of these before the game to eat at half-time as long queues can form at the kiosk.

Want a Pompey scarf or a souvenir of your visit to Fratton Park?

If so, the Pompey Store behind the North Stand car park in Anson Road (PO4 8SX) is a must-visit.

Filled with Pompey gifts and merchandise – including plenty at pocket money prices – it is just two-minute walk from the stadium.

Follow the signs around the ground or click here to see a map.

We would like to remind all supporters that football is an emotive game and, as a result, we cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed to offensive language or chanting from time to time.

We expect all supporters using Nelson’s Family Zone to respect follow supporters and help us ensure that this area of the ground is as welcoming and friendly as possible for all supporters.

The safety of all supporters is of paramount importance to us and safety stewards are present at every match.

*Top tip – Please familiarise yourself with Fratton Park’s ground regulations before visiting us.
